There's a saying, girls, that an elephant never forgets. After today's off-day trip to a safari near Sun City, I can say that I will never forget the elephant. We encountered a massive bull elephant, like the one you saw on the other side of this postcard, during our safari. He was grumpy, for reasons I won't get into, and hungry. He walked up to our safari truck, looked me square in the eye (I was sitting in the front row) and snorted. It was if to say, "You are but a pipsqueak to me." Then he proceeded to knock over two medium-sized trees and chew the juicy roots. It gave me pause; this guy was massive and would have flicked our truck away like it was a fly. I now have an even greater appreciation for nature and all things big. Africa continues to teach me.
Happy Canada Day!
Hugs to Mama.
Sincerely,
