Hi, good girls. Someone asked me yesterday what the food was like in South Africa. From what I've seen, with the exception of indigenous fruits and spices, it's pretty much the same as what we have -- only fresher. That seems like an odd thing to say, but every bite seems to be more flavorful. And less salty. We figure it's because they use fewer preservatives in the food here. We're so conditioned to overshipped bland in the States, that it's been a nice surprise. So that's what fresh orange juice is supposed to taste like! And being close to such extreme poverty makes you more appreciative of the abundance we take for granted at home.
Make sure to eat all your vegetables.
Hi to Mommy.
