Hi, girlies. What have I seen? Well, some truly amazing things. In Soweto, a place that was racially divided all too recently, I've seen a white man hug a black man (granted, it was on TV). I've seen traffic jams that would make Washingtonians cry. I've seen threadbare children weighing down loads of brush in pickup trucks that zoom past me on the roadway. I've seen miles and miles of scattered fires, burning off the last of the fall harvest. I've seen opulence beyond compare. Oh. And I've seen joy. Lots and lots of joy.
Kiss Mama for me.
