Brazil 3-0 Chile

Bielsa: Brazil were the better side

Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa accepted that his side were not good enough to defeat Brazil after losing 3-0 in the second round.

Bielsa also had to answer questions about his future and was admittedly frustrated with his side allowing Juan to open the scoring from a set piece.

"Our elimination is right," Bielsa told La Repubblica. "We would have had a better chance against a weaker nation, but against the superiority of Brazil, there is little one can do.

"Now is not the time to be discussing my future. I do not know what will happen. I cannot make that evaluation right now.

"Up until the first goal that we conceded, I thought we defended in an adequate manner. That goal frustrates me because my players knew about Juan's aerial prowess from set pieces."

Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo said the squad can depart South Africa with pride: "We leave the tournament knowing that we gave everything on the pitch. We are a very fragile team at times. We attack very well, but we have to know when to defend.

"We gave it our best, but Brazil were just better. This is the best team in the world right now. We could not have played any better."
