Four second-half goals ensured Annan safely negotiated their passage into the semi-finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup with a 4-0 victory over 10-man Formartine.
The turning point came when goalkeeper Andy Shearer was dismissed for the visitors five minutes after the break, and goals from Alistair Love (penalty), Keiran Brannan, Kenneth Mackay and David Hopkirk sent the hosts through.
Shearer was given his marching orders early in the second half for bringing down Mackay.
From the resulting spot-kick Annan made their numerical advantage count, Love drilling his penalty into the corner of the net.
Matt Flynn teed up Brannan for the second goal 17 minutes from the end and six minutes later Mackay turned home after being found by Love.
Hopkirk slotted home Peter Bradley's cross near the death to put some further gloss on the scoreline.
