Kamara gives Sporting KC 2-1 win over FC Dallas
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Kei Kamara atoned for a missed penalty
kick with a goal in the 88th minute to give Sporting Kansas City
a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas on Sunday night.
Graham Zusi had two assists for Sporting (3-0), giving him an
MLS-leading four in three games.
Dallas keeper Kevin Hartman saved Kamara's penalty in the 51st
minute, but Kamara gave Sporting the win when he slashed into
the area and fired home Chance Myers' cross. Zusi's pass to
Myers set up the play.
Dallas (1-1-1) became the first team to score on Sporting this
season on Ricardo Villar's free kick in the 25th minute.
Aurelien Collin equalized with a header in first-half stoppage
time, off a free kick by Zusi. It was the 700th goal in club
history for Sporting.
