Bairns handed Millar cup boost

Falkirk can call upon loan signing Mark Millar against Rangers after parent club Dundee United granted him permission to play in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

Millar's inclusion gives Gary Holt a full-strength squad for the first time this season ahead of the fourth-round tie, with the Bairns boss contemplating the inclusion of fit-again Ollie Durojaiye from the start.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "It is a strange cup tie as we are playing a strong Rangers side and some people see us as favourites as we are in the league above them.

"It will be a great test for our young players and one they can rise to."

Rangers are boosted by the news that Lee McCulloch has been passed fit.

The Ibrox skipper has recovered from the knock he picked up in Monday's win at Arbroath but Kyle Hutton is out with a broken leg sustained in an Under-20s match.

Striker Dean Shiels could come into contention and make his first appearance since August following a knee problem.
