Deveronvale target cup upset

Albion will be without Scott Chaplain against Highland League opponents Deveronvale in the third round of the Scottish Cup as the striker begins a two-match ban after being sent off against Stirling in midweek.

The Coatbridge side are also without Kevin Nicoll (knee), Peter Innes (leg) and Pat Walker (ankle) while Darren Miller drops out after asking to be released due to work commitments.

The defensive-minded Dunlop brothers, Ross and Mick, both face fitness tests.

Cliftonhill boss James Ward said: "There is no point moaning we are just getting on with things.

"I saw Deveronvale defeat Linlithgow Rose in the last round so I know how well we need to play."

Deveronvale have concerns over defenders Scott Fraser and Scott Henry as well as striker Ricky Wardrop ahead of the tie.

The trio all late face fitness tests before manager Charles Charlesworth can finalise his side.

Charlesworth said: "It took everything the players had physically and mentally to beat Linlithgow in the last round and we need another performance like that if we are to do anything at this stage.

"We had them watched against Queen's Park last weekend and identified a couple of things that we could possibly use to our advantage."
