Raith and Annan set for cup semi

Raith player/coach Laurie Ellis is a doubt for Sunday's Ramsdens Cup semi-final with Annan at Stark's Park due to the calf injury which has sidelined him since August.

The Kirkcaldy side can include Reece Donaldson as the suspension he received for his dismissal in last Saturday's 4-2 Scottish Championship win over Dumbarton will be served in the league.

Player/manager Grant Murray said: "This is a really important game for everyone connected with Raith Rovers. There is a cup final place at stake and you can never have enough cup finals in your career.

"However we need to go out and earn our right to be there."

Annan will be forced into making changes for their third Ramsdens Cup semi-final in four years.

On-loan Newcastle youngster Steven Logan picked up a foot injury during training this week, Steven Sloan and Ally Love are both suspended while on-loan Dumbarton player Martin McNiff is cup-tied

However, Steven Black, Steven Swinglehurst and Chris Jardine have all been passed fit although a question mark remains over the availability of striker Kenny McKay following a knock.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "It is not ideal to change a side that has been doing well but the players coming in have a great chance to show what they can do in a really high-profile game."
