Alan Knill says he will make "one or two changes" for Torquay's clash with Portsmouth in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The Gulls were frustrated by Hartlepool in their 0-0 draw on Saturday but Knill is likely to stick with the majority of players against Guy Whittingham's men at Plainmoor.
Karl Hawley was taken off late on to guard against a niggling hamstring problem and the striker could be rested for the tie with Elliot Benyon starting in his place.
And the likes of Courtney Cameron, Damon Lathrope and Tom Cruise will also be hoping to feature.
Portsmouth will be without David Connolly.
Veteran striker Connolly was sent off during Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Chesterfield and starts a three-match ban, with Ryan Bird or Tom Craddock likely to replace him in attack.
John Sullivan was recalled in goal at the weekend ahead of Phil Smith and will keep his place, but left-back Marcos Painter is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Jed Wallace, Dan Butler and Romain Padovani could be involved if boss Guy Whittingham opts to make changes.
