Martin to miss out for Crewe

Crewe are expected to be without goalkeeper Alan Martin for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Accrington.

Martin is struggling with the hip injury he sustained in the 5-0 defeat to Swindon at the weekend, so veteran shot-stopper Steve Phillips looks set to make his first appearance of the 2013/14 campaign.

Striker Byron Moore is still out with the thigh injury that has limited him to just two appearances this season.

Meanwhile, Ollie Turton (foot), Thierry Audel (ankle) and Mathias Pogba (knee) remain sidelined.

Accrington boss James Beattie could welcome back experienced striker Danny Webber.

The 31-year-old missed his side's last three games through suspension but is available to play some part at Gresty Road.

Stanley will once again be without defender Nicky Hunt and goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin who remain out with knee injuries.

Connor Mahoney, 16, came off the bench in his side's last two games and is available to make his first start for the club if Beattie decides to shuffle his pack.
