Montrose are without Terry Masson for the visit of Berwick Rangers to Links Park.
Masson was sent off in Saturday's 2-2 draw with East Stirling and will begin 2014 with a suspension, joining Colin Wilson (hamstring) and Lloyd Young (work commitments) on the sidelines. However, Stephen McNally could return.
Manager Stuart Garden said: "We sit beside Berwick in the table and both games between us have ended 1-1 so there really is very little between the sides.
"The boys showed a lot of desire to hold onto a point at the weekend after Terry was sent off and we will need that same level of desire to defeat Berwick."
Berwick again miss the injured Stephen Tulloch (hamstring) and Dougie Brydon (pelvis) as they look to get back to winning ways after Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Peterhead.
Manager Ian Little has told his players to take confidence from the Blue Toon game despite losing.
He said: "Peterhead are in great form and at the top of the table but we gave them a real fright by taking the game to them.
"We really competed and with a bit of luck we would have got a draw at least. If we play like that again up at Montrose I will be pleased and we should pick something up."
