Stranraer have no problems ahead of their Ramsdens Cup first round tie at home to Dumbarton.
Following the departures of Craig Malcolm and Michael Moore, the Sons will have a new-look strikeforce at Stair Park with summer signings Jamie Longworth, David McKenna, Marc Corcoran and Martin Grehan all jostling for starting places.
Manager Stephen Aitken said: ``I believe that we have strengthened our pool over the summer and this game will give us a great indication if that is the case.
``Dumbarton finished last season very strongly and did well to maintain their First Division status so we are in for a tough test.``
Dumbarton will be without Owen Ronald as the winger has left the club on loan and manager Ian Murray has resisted the temptation to take any trialists to Stair Park.
He said: ``We have made some changes during the summer and I am happy with the depth we have in our squad now and I am not rushing to add anyone.
``Stranraer had a season that was a bit like ours as they had a poor first half and then a strong second half. On paper they have assembled a good group of players so we have to play well to win.``
