Berwick will be without three players when they host Livingston in the Ramsdens Cup.
Dougie Brydon (groin), Devon Jacobs (knee) and Neil Janczyk (leg) will all be unavailable for the first round tie but Ross Gray should recover from an ankle injury.
Borderers boss Ian Little has signed Owen Ronald on loan from Dumbarton and trialist Lewis Turner, a former Livingston midfielder, will also be included to boost numbers.
Little said: ``We will have a strong starting XI but after that we are short on bodies. However, it is a game we are looking forward to.``
Livingston also have injury problems with midfield quartet Burton O'Brien (toe), Stefan Scougall (hamstring), Keaghan Jacobs (knee) and Danny Denholm (ankle) all ruled out.
However, new club skipper Simon Mensing will make his debut and assistant manager Mark Burchill could also be in line for his bow if international clearance comes through in time.
Manager Ritchie Burke said: ``We are going to have a bit of a makeshift look to us but we simply have to get on with it. Berwick will be well up for the game and we have to show that we can handle that.``
