TSV Eintracht Braunschweig v Eintracht Frankfurt: Preview

Braunschweig and Frankfurt will be desperate for improved performances when the two Eintrachts lock horns in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Both clubs have lost their first two games of the season and cannot muster a point between them ahead of the meeting at the Eintracht Stadion.

Braunschweig can take heart from their display at Borussia Dortmund a week ago, when they were only narrowly beaten by the Champions League runners-up, but now they want to get points rather than praise.

``The praise we got was justified, but we cannot just take pleasure in that,'' said Braunschweig coach Torsten Lieberknecht.

``We need to go to our limit in every department now to get these points with all of our might.''

Braunschweig strengthened their squad this week with the arrival of Karim Bellarabi from Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan.

He goes straight into the squad and could make his second debut for the club he left to join Leverkusen in 2011.

``We have more options now Karim is here,'' said Lieberknecht at the pre-match press conference.

``There are bound to be people who are unhappy now we have a bigger squad because everybody deserves a chance, but nobody is bigger than the team.''

Frankfurt faced a long yet rewarding trip to Baku on Thursday night as they defeated Qarabag 2-0 in a Europa League play-off tie.

Tiredness should not be an issue on Sunday, however, and their coach Armin Veh will not accept that as an excuse for a sub-standard showing.

``Everything was well organised and we flew straight back,'' he said. ``Therefore, it wasn't all that tiring.

``I presume everybody will be fit to be successful tomorrow. It's important that we qualify for the group stage but, first of all, we have the Braunschweig game to think about.''

Vaclav Kadlec could be in line for his debut following a transfer from Sparta Prague last week, while Veh expects to have a fully-fit squad to choose from.
