Walker banned for Iron

Scunthorpe are without the suspended Josh Walker for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Notts County.

Walker serves a one-match ban after being dismissed for a handball on the line during the 2-0 defeat at against Hartlepool at the weekend.

Robbie Gibbons is likely to come into the midfield after being dropped ahead of the Saturday's game in Walker's place.

Jimmy Ryan is expected to recover from the knock that forced him from the pitch at Hartlepool and take his place in the midfield.

Loanee David Prutton will continue in the midfield after he impressed manager Alan Knill in his full debut at the weekend.

Paul Reid (hand), Callum Kennedy (toe), Damien Mozika (ankle) and Michael Collins (tendonitis) remain sidelined through injury.

Yoann Arquin comes back into the reckoning for Notts County.

Arquin could go straight back into the starting XI at Glanford Park, with the forward in need of a run out after missing the last three matches through suspension.

Manager Keith Curle may make changes for the first-round tie and he has a wealth of options should he wish to do so.

Defender Carl Regan, midfielders Gavin Mahon, Hamza Bencherif and Joss Labadie and striker Enoch Showunmi join Arquin as potential starters.

Teenager Romello Nangle was included on the bench against Bury at the weekend and the 17-year-old could be amongst the substitutes once more.
