Mark Nicolson will return to the Elgin squad for the visit of Berwick.
Nicolson is back after a ban but not such good news for manager Ross Jack is that Stuart Leslie (groin) is a doubt and Paul Millar (knee), Lewis Halford (calf), Cieran McLean (ankle) and Darryl McHardy (toe) will all miss out.
Victory would see Elgin overtake their opponents in the race for a play-off place.
Ahead of the match, Jack said: ``We have worked hard to get back into the play-off race with three wins and a draw in our last four games.
``We will need to work hard again against Berwick if we are to be in with a chance of winning and keeping our charge going.
``Berwick will want to hold onto fourth place but they need a win to do that so it should be an open encounter.``M
Berwick make the long trip without Dean Hoskins.
Hoskins is suspended and the Borderers are sweating on the fitness of Chris Townsley, who is struggling with a groin problem.
The Shielfield men are already without the injured Dougie Brydon (groin), Marc Lancaster (back) and Dene Droudge (knee).
Ahead of the match, manager Ian Little said: ``We have to keep our fingers crossed that Chris can make it as we are down to the bare bones without him.
``This is a big game and having got ourselves into fourth spot we want to stay there and the best way to stay there is by winning.
``We did well to defeat Queen's Park last Saturday and need a similar level of performance to win this game.``
