Troyes v Sochaux: Preview

Georges Gope-Fenepej has admitted his mobile phone has been busy relaying messages of goodwill following his debut for Troyes last week.

The 24-year-old New Caledonian forward came on for the closing seconds of the 1-1 draw at Lille and admitted he has shared the moment with plenty of others.

Gope-Fenepej told his club's official website: ``Everyone has called me or texted - and I've had many requests for an interview.

``Of course, my family called me...I also had my old coach, Alain Moizan, the coach of New Caledonia.

``I will never forget my entry to Ligue 1, even though it was short.

``What is more, members of my family were on holiday in Paris - and when they knew I was in the squad for Lille, they came to the match.''

Whether Gope-Fenepej figures in tomorrow's home match against fellow Ligue 1 strugglers Sochaux is for boss Jean-Marc Furlan to decide.

The home side's recent form is encouraging, with the draw at Lille following a 2-1 home defeat of Brest.

However, they remain bottom, five points adrift of Sochaux - who occupy the final position of safety.

Les Lionceaux boss Eric Hely, whose team were beaten 2-1 by St Etienne last time out, has reduced options for the match at the Stade de l'Aube.

Defenders Mathieu Peybernes and Yassin Mikari, midfielders Carlao, Sanjin Prcic and Thierry Doubai and forward Roy Contout are all out, while goalkeeper Pierick Cros remains a long-term absentee.

The manager is also unable to call on Mali midfielder Kalilou Traore, who is still on African Nations Cup duty, while Giovanni Sio is suspended.

As a result, defender Frederic Duplus and midfielder Petrus Boumal have been called up for tomorrow's contest.
