Brest v Lyon: Preview

Lyon coach Remi Garde is bracing his title-chasers for a tough test against lowly Brest tomorrow, warning that their opponents will go into the match with ``nothing to lose''.

Second-placed Lyon will be desperate to collect a victory at the Stade Francis-Le Ble to keep up the pressure up on Ligue 1 pacesetters Paris St Germain, who went into the weekend with a three-point lead at the summit.

However, Brest are also in need of the points as they look to pull further away from the relegation zone, and Garde knows his side will need to be on their game if they are to come away victorious.

Recalling last year's corresponding fixture, where 10-man Lyon needed a 69th-minute equaliser to salvage a point from their trip to Brest, Garde side: ``Brest is a footballing hotbed. The team is battling for its survival in Ligue 1. Last season, it was difficult at Brest. It's going to be difficult, that's obvious.

``But OL has ground to make up (on PSG) and needs to do something. It's always complicated to go away to a team in trouble. They have nothing to lose. We are warned.''

Brest, who survived the drop last season after winning their final two games, go into the match with confidence on the rise after taking four points from their last two Ligue 1 games - having previously lost four on the trot.

Last weekend they stunned Bordeaux 2-0 away from home to move five points clear of the drop zone.
