AC Ajaccio v Troyes: Preview

Troyes coach Jean Marc Furlan has hailed the spirit of his players as they head to Ajaccio tomorrow seeking to take another stride towards Ligue 1 safety.

Last weekend's win over Evian was their third in four games and moved them off the bottom of the table.

Despite still sitting four points off safety with three games to go, Furlan claimed he could not have asked any more of his players in the way they have given themselves a chance of survival.

Furlan said: ``We are not last and that is important for the club. The players have come out for the second half of the season with beautiful skills and the win over Evian puts us in a much better place.''

Opponents Ajaccio are still not entirely safe as they sit in 15th place, five points off the drop zone, although a win over Troyes at the Stade Francois Coty will almost certainly secure survival for another season.

The hosts have put themselves in danger after a run of just one win in their last seven, and were disappointed by a draw at Reims last Saturday.

Coach Albert Emon said: ``We must not think our season is finished and we will fight to the end.

``Troyes got an important win on Saturday which put Evian in danger, but all the sides below us can still escape. We must remember how important it is to this club and we will not rest until the end of the season.''
