The Dutch always looked like they were taking it easy, but the return of Arjen Robben will be a big boost given the performance.

Sub Van der Vaart comes off to be replaced by Robben, who makes his long-awaited return from injury.

N'Guemo puts the corner in and M'Bia meets it at the near post, but his header fails to hit the target.

Nguemo fires in a shot following the free-kick and it takes a huge, looping deflection. Corner kick.

Yellow card Van Bronckhorst goes into the book for a foul on Aboubakar.

He goes for goal but it's a really poor effort and easily saved.

Huntelaar is fouled and Van der Vaart wins another chance to cause problems for Cameroon.

It's good to see Cameroon get something for their efforts this half.

GOAL Eto'o scores! no nerves at all from the Inter strike, who confidently lofts the spot-kick into the corner.

Boulahrouz gives away a free-kick on Makoun on the edge of the area. Aboubakar picks up the ball and Makoun shouts at him.

Cameroon are stepping up their game now and seem to want to restore a bit of pride.

Cameroon nearly find an equaliser! Chedjou plays a superb ball through for Makoun, but his shot is saved from a difficult angle.

From the ensuing corner, Nguemo tries to pass one into the corner but it veers away from goal.

Eto'o makes something out of nothing, skipping around three defenders before seeing his shot blocked by Van Bronckhorst.

It's returned to the very leisurely tempo of the first half's worst moments. Neither side want to extend themselves and you can't blame Netherlands, certainly.

Cameroon knock the ball around neatly for the first two minutes of the half, but the move breaks down when they try to make something happen.

It's not been scintillating by any stretch, but Netherlands have produced a few decent bits of football and Cameroon have been causing more problems through Geremi's crosses as the half goes on.

Eagle-eyed readers may have noticed Alex Song was in the published line-up for Cameroon but not in the team to take the field. Aurelien Chedjou takes his place but we're unclear as to why.

Netherlands, meanwhile, have left Robben on the bench, but he may make his return from injury as the Dutch test his readiness for the knockout rounds.

There are four changes for Cameroon, with Jean Makoun among those coming in.

Realistically, both teams will be more concerned with the performance than the result, and that lack of fear could make for an entertaining match.

First place will see the Dutch take on Slovakia in the second round while a defeat - and a hefty win for Japan or Denmark - could see them face Paraguay.

There's very little on the match, with Cameroon already eliminated and Netherlands already through, but the Indomitable Lions will be playing for pride and the Oranje know a draw sees them finish top.
