East Fife 1-1 Queens Park: FT Report

A controversial penalty gave East Fife a share of the points in a 1-1 draw at home to Queen's Park as their promotion challenge continued to falter.

Willie Martin almost gave the Spiders the lead in the eighth minute but his fierce shot was brilliantly saved by Jim Butter.

Queen's Park got lucky in the 71st minute when Steve Moffat's free-kick took a deflection and found the bottom corner of the net.

The Fifers levelled with a 74th-minute penalty when their former player Damiano Agostini was adjudged to have brought down Kenny Deuchar and the striker converted the spot-kick.
