Torquay 3-1 Southend: FT Report
Torquay head coach Leroy Rosenior was sent to the stands as his patched-up side battled to a 3-1 victory at home to Southend.
Referee Brian Curson, who booked six Southend players and one from Torquay, sent Rosenior from the touchline on the hour for his protests at Southend`s equaliser.
The home side, who had striker Martin Gritton carried off in the first minute, took the lead midway through the first half when diminutive forward Jo Kuffour slammed home a 20-yard volley.
Substitute goalkeeper Kevin Dearden was beaten by Southend striker Graeme Jones - with Rosenior convinced a foul had been committed - and Tesfaye Bramble converted his pass to level on the hour mark.
But Torquay won it with a sweet Darren Dunning free-kick five minutes later, and Tony Bedeau`s clincher after 78 minutes sealed the win.
