Oxford Utd 2-2 Exeter: FT Report
A penalty two minutes from time denied Oxford a sixth consecutive win as they drew 2-2 draw with Exeter at the Kassam Stadium.
Oxford dominated the first half and Exeter goalkeeper Kevin Miller kept them out with magnificent saves from Jefferson Louis and Steve Basham.
Miller made another superb save to deny Basham shortly after the restart and the visitors then broke away to score. Steve Flack headed home a Carl Pettefer corner after 58 minutes - the first goal conceded by Oxford in 513 minutes - and it signalled the introduction of Oxford striker Lee Steele.
He equalised with a miskick that deceived Miller and five minutes later, Matthew Bound blasted a 25-yard free-kick into the roof of the net to put Oxford 2-1 up.
But Scott McNiven brought down Pettefer at the end and Justin Walker scored from the spot to earn Exeter a point.
