Plymouth 3-1 Cheltenham: FT Report
Plymouth extended their unbeaten run to nine matches with a comprehensive 3-1 win over Cheltenham despite going a goal behind at Home Park.
The hosts started brightly but went behind when David Worrell could only help Damien Spencer's chip into his own goal to put the visitors ahead.
Worrell was instrumental in setting up Plymouth's equaliser 10 minutes later with a superb cross from the right headed down by Micky Evans, whose strike partner Ian Stonebridge backheeled the ball to Martin Phillips to level the score from close range.
Stonebridge, Phillips and Worrell all played their part in Plymouth's second goal in the 36th minute. Phillips broke away in midfield and set up Worrell, who played the ball into the path of Stonebridge to sweep it home from 12 yards.
Plymouth went further ahead in the 53rd minute when industrious midfielder Steve Adams lobbed the ball forward to David Norris, who teased marker John Brough before letting fly with a rising drive of high quality.
