QPR 2-1 Wycombe: FT Report
Two first-half goals earned QPR their first victory in 12 matches but they were made to work hard for it by battling Wycombe before winning 2-1 at Loftus Road.
Rangers were given the perfect confidence-booster with a goal after 12 minutes, Matthew Rose playing a one-two with Kevin Gallen before firing home.
QPR extended the lead on the half-hour when Richard Langley's free-kick was met at the far post by Gallen, who volleyed in from close range.
The second half was a different story as nervous QPR were put under pressure, and keeper Nick Culkin saved well from Jonny Dixon, while Darren Currie missed two glorious chances.
Wycombe threw themselves a lifeline on 79 minutes when Dixon ran on to a through ball to chip home, but QPR recovered and Andy Thomson, Gallen and Brett Angell all should have scored.
