Blackpool 3-0 Peterborough: FT Report
Blackpool recorded their first league win in six matches, comprehensively beating poor Peterborough 3-0 at Bloomfield Road.
A stunning solo effort from Blackpool midfielder Martin Bullock after 21 minutes proved the highlight of an entertaining game.
The opener came from Simon Grayson's first goal of the season after 17 minutes. He netted after Scott Taylor`s deflected shot had fallen at his feet just five yards out.
Bullock added the second goal after running three-quarters of the length of the pitch, turning two defenders and firing a curling shot past by Dan Connor from 10 yards out.
The Seasiders` third goal came after 62 minutes when goalkeeper Phil Barnes launched the ball to Bullock, he fed it past Peterborough`s static defence and Richard Walker slammed it past Connor.
The visitors` Jimmy Bullard and Andy Clarke both worked hard and deserved to get on the scoresheet, but for most of the match they were well marked by Blackpool's new loan signings from Bolton, Colin Hendry and Leam Richardson.
