Formartine striker Cameron Keith fired a second-half hat-trick as the Highland League side sent 10-man Scottish League Two opponents Elgin crashing out of the Ramsdens Challenge Cup with a 5-1 win at North Lodge Park.
Keith rattled in all his goals in the space of 11 minutes early in the second half to propel Formartine into the third round after Michael Ewen had cancelled out Elgin midfielder Sean Crighton's early opener.
Crighton was shown a straight red card for hauling down Keith in the penalty area in the 52nd minute and the Formartine forward picked himself up to convert the subsequent spot kick.
Elgin defender David Niven's header hit the post less than 60 seconds later only for Keith to extend the home side's lead in the 57th minute when he lashed home Daniel Park's cross.
Keith converted his third goal four minutes later and Craig McKeown completed the scoring in time added on, direct from a free-kick.
