Hamilton firmly put their run of bad results behind them with a blitzing first-half performance in a 4-2 win at Raith to stay in the promotion hunt and move up to second.
They began the game brighter and French midfielder Anthony Andreu put them ahead with a left-footed effort into the top corner after just three minutes.
Raith dominated possesion for the rest of the half but failed to test Hamilton keeper Kevin Cuthbert and the away side doubled their lead just after half an hour when Andreu headed in his second of the game from a cross by the impressive James Keatings.
Louis Longridge made it 3-0 six minutes before the break and it was game over before half-time with a penalty into the bottom-right corner from top scorer Keatings.
Raith improved in the second half and grabbed goals through Joe Cardle and John Baird in the final 10 minutes.
