Ferry strike seals Binos win

PA Sport

Bottom-club Queen's Park failed to make it back-to-back Scottish League Two wins for the first time this season with a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Stirling.

The writing was on the wall after just three minutes when a defensive error gifted Stirling a perfect scoring opportunity and Mark Ferry made no mistake with a clinical 12-yard finish after being picked out by Jordan White.

Liam Gormley almost levelled for the Spiders when Binos goalkeeper David Crawford needed two attempts to gather his shot but that proved to be the best the hosts had to offer.

Managerless Queen's Park did have two penalty calls late on when David Anderson and Anthony Quinn both took tumbles but nothing was given and the Hampden Park outfit fell to their 13th loss of the season.
