Peterhead climbed above Albion Rovers in the League Two table following a 2-1 win at Cliftonhill.
The visitors took the lead after 19 minutes when Scott Ross met David Cox's corner in the box with a downwards header into the bottom-left corner.
Albion equalised four minutes after the restart through Darren Miller. The midfielder struck a superb free-kick that shot past Graeme Smith into the bottom-left corner of the net.
Peterhead almost retook the lead after 51 minutes through Ryan McGeever, but the defender's powerful header was denied by the crossbar.
The Blue Toon restored their advantage in the 61st minute after Rory McAllister was brought down in the box by Neil Parry. McAllister stepped up to stroke the penalty into the bottom-left corner.
The home side pushed hard for an equaliser with Ross Dunlop having the best opportunity 14 minutes from time, but his close range effort was parried away by Smith.
