Kevin Kyle scored the only goal of the game as Ayr United secured a 1-0 away win at Forfar Athletic.
Ayr had the majority of the chances in the first half, with Michael Moffat firing over from 12 yards out, six minutes into the match.
Kyle came close to opening the scoring after 34 minutes, but dragged his effort just wide of the left-hand post.
A minute later Moffat forced a save out of Rab Douglas, with the veteran goalkeeper getting down to push the shot away.
Kyle eventually gave the visitors the lead after 62 minutes, heading in Kyle McAusland's shot-come-cross from six yards out.
Substitute Ross Campbell had an opportunity to level for the home side with just five minutes to go, but he fired over the bar from the middle of the box.
Forfar are now six games without a win following today's result.
