Charles King scored the winner for Forfar as they came from behind to beat Ayr 2-1 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
The hosts came close to taking the lead in the 12th minute of the game when Gavin Swankie's left-footed drive hit the post but it was Ayr who drew first blood just four minutes later.
David Sinclair got on the end of an excellent cross from David Winters to tap in from close range and hand his side the early advantage.
Forfar came out of the blocks well in the second half and equalised through Willie Robertson who found the bottom left of the goal from 20 yards out in the 59th minute.
The Loons then scored the winner in the 74th minute when King found the net from the edge of the area after good work from Christopher Templeman.
