Andrew Barrowman was the hero for Dunfermline in their 1-0 win over 10-man Partick in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
The hosts found themselves a man down in the 28th minute when defender Aaron Muirhead saw red for tripping Craig Dargo when he was the last man.
Dunfermline made it 1-0 just seven minutes later when Barrowman got on the end of Joshua Falkingham's cross to head home from 12 yards out.
Partick, who beat the visitors 5-1 when the two sides met in the league last month, struggled to get into the game and offered little going forward.
The Jags had the chance to draw level when Dunfermline's Andrew Geggan brought Christopher Erskine down in the box but Ross Forbes' penalty sailed wide of the post before Barrowman was dismissed for second bookable offence in stoppage-time.
