Hodge stunner sets up Stenhousemuir
Stenhousemuir cruised into the third round of the Ramsdens Cup on the back of an impressive 3-0 win at Annan.
The visitors were in control right from the first whistle and after Bryan Hodge's 30-yard left-footer had been pushed around a post by Annan goalkeeper Alex Mitchell, Stewart Kean pounced to give them a 25th-minute lead, latching on to John Gemmell's header to drive the ball right-footed into the bottom corner from 12 yards.
Six minutes later Stenhousemuir doubled their advantage when Sean Dickson clinically converted Darren Smith's pass from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
A convincing passage was secured on the hour-mark when Gemmell put in Andy Rodgers, who drove a 12-yard shot high into the net.
