Watt has the answer for Clyde

Kevin Watt scored a decisive second-half header as Clyde earned an important 2-1 home win against East Stirling.

The Bully Wee came into the game just a point ahead of their opponents, but Patrick Scullion's 20th-minute strike gave them an early advantage.

John Coughlin's men found a way back into the game before half time, as John Kane fouled Nathan Shepherd inside the area, and Paul Quinn tucked away the 33rd-minute penalty.

Bryan Gilfillan almost regained the lead for the hosts in first-half stoppage time, but he saw his header tipped round the post by Grant Hay.

Jim Duffy's side continued to build pressure after the break, and earned their rewards seven minutes into the second half when Watt headed home Stuart McColm's left-wing cross.

The Shire struggled to find an equaliser, and indeed it was the home side who came closest to scoring late on, when Gilfillan drew another good save from Hay.
