Hannover returned to winning ways at the AWD-Arena with a comfortable victory over Augsburg this afternoon.
Mame Biram Diouf scored the opener in the 26th minute and Lars Stindl made the game safe five minutes from time.
Hannover, whose defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach ended a 22-match unbeaten home run, consolidated their place in the top half of the Bundesliga table with the three points.
Augsburg, however, continue to prop up the standings with just one win from 10 attempts.
Hannover came close to scoring after 15 minutes as Szabolcs Huszti crossed into the box and Diouf headed just over the bar from seven yards out.
The Senegalese striker made amends 10 minutes later, though, blasting home Stindl's cross from the right for his third goal of the season.
Augsburg nearly equalised in the 39th minute as Knowledge Musona's shot sailed just wide of the left post from 18 yards out.
Visiting goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch made a fine save to deny Didier Ya Konan in the 55th minute and was grateful to see Stindl's powerful drive sail inches wide in the 73rd minute.
Augsburg had another chance to level the scores with 16 minutes remaining, but Aristide Bance's header missed the target from eight yards out.
And Hannover wrapped up the points with five minutes remaining as Stindl's shot from 18 yards curled just inside the right post.
