Lyon blasted their way into the Coupe de France final with four goals in the
last half-hour against ten-man Ajaccio at the Stade Francois Coty.
Ajaccio had Anthony Colinet dismissed for a dangerous tackle from behind on
Alexandre Lacazette after 38 minutes and the game was held up for several
minutes after players from both sides clashed following the sending-off.
Lacazette showed no ill-effects from the incident, though, as he opened the
scoring just before the hour, and further goals from Lisandro, Clement
Grenier and Bafetimbi Gomis secured Les Gones' passage to the final.
Lyon carved out the first chance when a clearance fell to Kim Kallstrom but his
shot was saved by Lucas Rastello.
Ajaccio almost broke the deadlock after nine minutes when Mickael Seymand
crossed for Mickael Colloredo but his volley hit the post.
Lyon also hit the woodwork after Raphael Romey was robbed by Jimmy Briand, who
raced toward goal before firing against the bar.
Gomis fired narrowly wide for Lyon before Ajaccio's Nicolas Verdier saw his
25-yard free-kick punched clear by Hugo Lloris.
Lloris also kept out another shot from Verdier but things soon went wrong for
the home side.
Colinet was dismissed for his challenge on Lacazette and the game had to be
halted as players from both sides became involved in an altercation.
Mouhamadou Dabo set up a chance for Lisandro in first-half stoppage time but
his effort was blocked by keeper Rastello before Kallstrom fired against the
Verdier had the first opening of the second half but his shot hit the post
before Lyon's Briand saw Rastello fingertip his lob over for a corner.
Rastello then kept out a shot from Lisandro but could do nothing when Lacazette
exchanged passes with Briand before scoring from close range.
Rastello needed two attempts to keep out a shot from 35 yards from Gomis as the
Corsicans came under more pressure.
Anthony Reveillere set up Lisandro with a cross which his team-mate controlled
before firing home.
Lloris blocked a shot from 20 yards by Henry Michel Gbizie before Lyon's Gueida
Fofana saw his free-kick turned away by Rastello.
Lyon extended their lead with 10 minutes to go as Grenier lobbed the Ajaccio
keeper and a minute later Briand shot home for the third.
