South Korea 4-2 Uzbekistan: Lee double

A brace from Lee Dong-Gook helped South Korea claim a 4-2 victory over Uzbekistan in their international friendly on Saturday.

Lee opened the scoring on 20 minutes in Choi Kang-Hee's first match in charge of the national team, before doubling his tally on the stroke of half-time courtesy of a fine ball from Keun-Ho Lee. Chi-Woo Kim struck just after the interval to give the home side a comfortable advantage.

However, Ibrahim Rabimov pulled a goal back for Uzbekistan on 74 minutes to give the visitors a way back into the contest.

Stanislav Andreev set hearts racing inside the Jeonju World Cup Stadium when he converted from the penalty spot to cut the deficit to one with time winding down. Komoliddin Tadjiev was then sent off in second-half injury time after receiving a second yellow card as time began to fail the Uzbek side.

Kim compounded the visitors' woe as he prodded home moments later to seal the win.
