FC Copenhagen will play no part in the Europa League knockout stages after being held to a draw by Group B minnows Vorskla.
Copenhagen striker Dame N'doye scored for both teams in the space of seven first-half minutes.
But it was Vorskla who looked the more impressive side and their visitors were left three points adrift of second-placed Hannover, with an inferior head-to-head record.
The Danes went on the attack from the first minute, when Solvi Ottesen's shot was blocked by defender Oleg Krasnopyorov.
Pavlo Rebenok was the next home defender to throw his body on the line as he denied N'doye, and Bryan Oviedo failed to threaten the goal from 18 yards.
Ahmed Januzi drew the night's first save out of visiting keeper Johan Wiland.
But Copenhagen surged forward again and Christian Grindheim flashed a free-kick wide before Claudemir was also off target.
Rebenok went close at the other end, his left-footed effort bouncing to safety off the crossbar.
Pape Diouf was denied by home keeper Serhiy Velychko but Wiland had to make a razor-sharp save moments later from Roman Bezues' close-range attempt.
N'doye then took centre stage - though initially for the wrong reasons as he nodded Ivan Krivosheenko's corner low into his own goal.
The striker immediately set out to make amends, stinging Velychko's hands with a 30-yard free-kick, before he did level the scores in the 37th minute.
Cesar Santin was the provider, N'doye latching on to his strike partner's pass and finishing right-footed.
Krivosheenko forced another point-blank save from the feet of Wiland but it remained all square at the break.
The second period started in more placid fashion, Bezues shooting wide from a rare sight of goal.
Copenhagen's Martin Vingaard fizzed a free-kick wide before Jovan Markoski twice threatened for Vorskla. But the Serbia midfielder's first effort cleared the crossbar and his next was easily held by Wiland.
Andriy Oberemko was off target twice from distance as the hosts, with only one point from their previous four games in the group, continued to impress.
Velychko saved from N'doye and his opposite number Wiland had to be alert to parry when Armend Dallku's corner looked to be drifting directly into the net.
Solvi Ottesen cleared Oberemko's goalbound shot and Wiland saved from Januzi and Rebenok, but Copenhagen were unable to force the issue at the other end as their qualification hopes fizzled out.
