Darlington 0-1 Fleetwood Town
Darlington boss Liddle praised his players for putting the ``horrendous'' experience of the last week behind them, insisting: ``Every one of them can be proud of their performance, their effort and their desire.''
Liddle's players are currently being paid on a match-by-match basis as the administrator tries desperately to save the club.
Liddle added: ``It's not easy but they understand the circumstances. I think there is a real togetherness at the club.
``I don't think he (the administrator) would have prolonged the agony if he didn't think there would be a positive outcome. We've got to see how things develop over the next few days and hopefully we will know something by the end of the week.
``We've come through a lot. There was a lot of emotion around the place today and a lot of positivity which we can build on. Hopefully we can go to Hayes and get three points, then get a similar crowd here next week.''
