Bas Dost made it 24 goals in 13 games with a hat-trick as Heerenveen came from 2-0 to win at NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie.
The home side had led with two goals from Genero Zeefuik in the first half but Dost netted after 66, 71 and 80 minutes before Oussama Assaidi made sure of the points with a goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The home side opened the scoring after 13 minutes as Lasse Schone set up Zeefuik who netted from close range.
With nearly half an hour gone the home side nearly doubled their lead when defender Kevin Conboy headed a corner against the bar.
Krisztian Vadocz saw his header saved by Kristoffer Nordfeldt and Schone was just off target with a free-kick as NEC continued to dominate.
Four minutes before half-time they finally extended their lead when Navarone Foor passed to Zeefuik who shot into the corner to reward the home side's dominance.
But they had not bargained on Dost and he scored his first of the game after 66 minutes as Heerenveen began to play much better than they had in the first half.
Luciano Narsingh set up the chance for Dost who shot in from 15 yards.
A minute later NEC could have reclaimed their two goal lead only for Ryan Koolwijk to see his shot saved by Nordfeldt after going one-on-one with the keeper.
Dost made the home side pay for that miss as he slid in to score from close range after Filip Djuricic had crossed from the left.
Dost completed his third hat-trick of the season when he volleyed in from close range from a Narsingh cross.
Narsingh then made it a trio of assists in injury time when he passed to Assaidi who fired into the bottom right corner of the goal as visitors completed their comeback win.
In a complete contrast to the first half when they barely created a chance the visitors completely dominated after the break and were rewarded with a deserved victory.
