RKC Waalwijk 5-2 Roda JC Kerkrade
RKC Waalwijk hammered Roda JC in the Eredivisie tonight to move above their opponents in mid-table.
Evander Sno and Aaron Meijers scored two goal each with Ricky ten Voord also on the scoresheet in an impressive display from the home side.
Mads Junker and Sanharib Malki replied for Roda, but slipped down to ninth as a result of the loss - one point below their hosts.
RKC were in front after just four minutes. Ard van Peppen's cross found Sno, who drove home from 25 yards out.
The home side added another after 20 minutes when Ten Voorde ran on to a pass from Krisztian Nemeth before rounding Roda goalkeeper Mateusz Prus and slotting low into the net.
Roda pulled one back seven minutes before the interval through a header from Mads Junker, but RKC restored their two-goal advantage a minute later with Meijers providing the finish to a cross from Mitchell Schet.
Meijers then made it 4-1 on the stroke of half-time, turning in another cross from Schet as the two combined once more to good effect.
The writing appeared to be on the wall for Roda, but they refused to let their heads drop and Malki got them on the scoresheet once more after 75 minutes with his shot into the bottom left corner.
But Sno had the final say for RKC, powering high into the net from just outside of the area two minutes later.
