ADO Den Haag 3-5 De Graafschap
De Graafschap clinched an impressive victory at ADO Den Haag to avoid finishing the Eredivisie season at the foot of the table.
Michael de Leeuw scored twice for the visitors, with an own goal from Aleksandar Radosavljevic plus strikes from Gil Vermouth and Soufian El Hassnaoui sealing the points which earns them another shot at survival in the relegation play-offs.
Lex Immers (two) and Charlton Vicento replied for ADO, who threw away the lead three times during the match.
The win ensured De Graafschap finish the season above Excelsior, who lost to PSV Eindhoven, while ADO lie a point above the bottom three.
Things looked ominous for De Graafschap when they fell behind after 11 minutes, Vicento heading home a free-kick from Tjaronn Chery.
However, they were gifted an equaliser three minutes later when a cross from Vermouth was headed into his own net by Radosavljevic.
ADO put themselves in the driving seat once more after 24 minutes after a loose pass from goalkeeper Yves De Winter was picked up by Immers, who planted a shot into an empty net.
The lead lasted less than a minute, with Vermouth again the provider with a cross which was this time struck home by De Leeuw.
ADO waited until the 56th minute for their third goal. Jens Toornstra raced down the left before playing a pass to Immers, who swept home from inside the area.
De Graafschap were again swift to respond when De Leeuw won a scramble for the ball to fire low into the right corner.
This time ADO had run out of ideas, and the visitors took advantage after 67 minutes to take the lead with a lovely curling shot into the top right corner from Vermouth.
And the result was put beyond doubt 12 minutes from time thanks to El Hassnaoui's low drive from just outside of the area.
