Freiburg continued their hot streak in the Bundesliga with a comfortable victory over relegation-battlers Cologne.
Mensur Mujdza gave Freiburg the lead in the 36th minute only for Lukas Podolski to level in the 47th minute. Karim Guede pushed Freiburg back ahead after 54 minutes, Daniel Caligiuri made it 3-1 in the 84th minute and Sebastian Freis ended all doubts a minute into stoppage time.
That extended Freiburg's undefeated streak to 10 matches as they jumped to 12th with 40 points.
Cologne have not won in eight games and have not scored more than one goal in their last 12 attempts.
It was the visitors who had the first chance of the game, after 17 minutes, as Martin Lanig met a corner and headed wide from seven yards.
Freiburg grabbed the lead after 36 minutes on a counter attack with Caligiuri passing over to Mujdza, whose shot from 16 yards out beat Michael Rensing, who could have reacted quicker.
The guests were close in the 43rd minute but Miso Brecko's header was just off target.
Cologne equalised just two minutes after the restart as Podolski raced across the edge of the area before blasting a left-foot shot into the lower right corner from 18 yards.
Podolski's 30-yard blast went just over the crossbar in the 53rd minute and Jan Rosenthal's 18-yard effort struck the post a minute later for Freiburg.
The hosts reclaimed the lead in the 54th minute as Caligiuri's long cross from the left side found Guede at the right post. He volleyed crisply past Rensing.
Freiburg were close to making it 3-1 but Erik Jendrisek's shot rebounded off the right post in the 81st minute.
Caligiuri got the job done three minutes later, collecting a pass from Cedrick Makiadi and beating Rensing from 15 yards out.
Freis finished off the scoring a minute into stoppage time, converting on his second attempt after a pass from Jonathan Schmid.
