Alex Rodman's first-half strike and Danny Thomas' stunner helped Blue Square Bet Premier Tamworth stun Crewe with a 2-1 FA Cup win at the Lamb Ground.
Rodman set the home side on their way in the 15th minute with the opener before Thomas curled home a spectacular second 10 minutes after the restart.
Ashley Westwood netted a consolation in the 88th minute but the Lambs held on for a famous win.
Rodman had The Lamb ground rocking 15 minutes in as his powerful shot cannoned against the crossbar and into the net with the aid of a deflection.
In a pulsating first half, the Lambs went close to a second twice in the space of a minute as Michael Wylde's effort was cleared off the line by Matt Tootle and then Scott Barrow and Aaron Mitchell were denied by frantic Crewe defending.
Tamworth goalkeeper James Severn also pulled off three fine saves late in the half to deny Joel Grant, twice, and Clayton Donaldson.
The lively Thomas then curled home a brilliant second from 25 yards while, at the other end, Severn pulled off a stunning save to deny Westwood and Donaldson.
Westwood gave Alex a sniff two minutes from time when his close range shot was bundled in but Des Lyttle's side held out.
