Grecians breeze through to second round
Skipper Matt Taylor led by example as Exeter cruised past Nuneaton 4-0 after a stunning first-half display.
Taylor netted twice in the first half while Barry Corr's long-range strike and a Guy Hadland own-goal gave the Grecians a four-goal half-time lead.
Nuneaton, who play in the Southern Premier, did have the ball in the net with the score at 1-0, but striker Chris Dillon saw his effort ruled out for offside.
Taylor wasted no time in opening the deadlock for Paul Tisdale's men when he fired home from close range in the fourth minute.
Corr made them pay on the half-hour mark when he rifled the ball home from 25 yards out into the bottom left-hand corner to all but put the tie beyond Boro.
Exeter added a third in comical style after 38 minutes when keeper Darren Acton parried Stuart Fleetwood's effort into Hadland and he looked on helplessly as the ball rolled over the line.
Unmarked Taylor then nodded in Alex Russell's corner for a fourth and although Nuneaton rallied after the break, they could not pull a goal back.
