Wolfsburg clinched their seventh straight league victory at the expense of Arminia Bielefeld this afternoon to move within one point of Bundesliga leaders Hertha Berlin.
Christian Gentner opened the scoring in the 19th minute before goals from Grafite (57) and Ashkan Dejagah (87) put the result beyond doubt in the second half.
The Wolves were in full control throughout the 90 minutes, making Bielefeld pay for the slightest mistake.
After a corner from the hosts, Grafite started a counter-attack on the left wing, cleverly chipping the ball into the box. Zvjezdan Misimovic let it go for Gentner, who slotted the ball home from 14 yards.
Grafite could have doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Edin Dzeko pulled the ball back to him, but the Brazilian's shot from the edge of the box whistled inches past the left-hand post.
All the hosts could muster was a harmless shot from Artur Wichniarek, who pulled the trigger from an acute angle on the left shortly before the break.
Bielefeld wasted their best chance to equalise early in the second period. Diego Benaglio parried a 20-yarder from Daniel Halfar before bravely stopping Robert Tesche's follow-up shot from close range.
The Wolves never looked back, and when Grafite found himself with time and space deep inside the Bielefeld box following Sascha Riether's pass, he grabbed his 18th goal of the season.
Rudiger Kauf and Thorben Marx squandered two chances for the home team before Ashkan Dejagah sealed the Wolves' victory three minutes from time.
His shot from the right channel was deflected by Nico Herzig, leaving Dennis Eilhoff with no chance.
