Portugal 2-3 Denmark: Last gasp goals

LISBON, September 10 (World Cup Qualifying) - Two last-gasp goals allowed Denmark to claim a thrilling 3-2 victory over Portugal in World Cup qualifying Group One on Wednesday.

Carlos Queiroz's men began their campaign with a 4-0 rout of Malta at the weekend, and looked on course for another win thanks to Nani's goal three minutes before the interval.

Niklas Bendtner then equalised for the Danes eight minutes from time but Deco restored Portugal's lead from the penalty spot three minutes later.

Again the home side appeared to be heading for victory, but in a frantic finale Christian Poulsen levelled matters once more before Daniel Jensen grabbed an unlikely winner for the Scandinavians in stoppage time.

Elsewhere, Sweden claimed their first win in Group One thanks to a stirring second-half display against Hungary.

Efforts from Kim Kallstrom and Samuel Holmen spared the home side's blushes after the team had left the pitch goalless at half-time and to the sounds of jeers from the partisan crowd at Rasunda Stadion.

Gergory Rudolf pulled a goal back in injury time for Hungary but it was not enough as they fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Albania also got off the mark with a confident 3-0 success over Malta.

Erjona Bogdani opened the scoring for the home side in first-half stoppage time before late goals from Klodia Duro and Armend Dallku sealed the result.

Albania join Sweden and Denmark on four points, one ahead of the Portuguese.
