Djibouti 0-6 Congo DR: Matumona hits a brace
DJIBOUTI, June 13 (Reuters) - The Democratic Republic of Congo defeated Djibouti 6-0 on Friday to win their second successive World Cup African zone Group 12 qualifier.
Belgian-based Dieumerci Mbokani and Zola Matumona both
scored twice and captain Shabani Nonda added another as the
Congolese joined Egypt at the head of the standings.
Tresor Mputu scored the sixth to stretch Djibouti's tally of
goals conceded in the qualifiers to 18 goals.
Congo now have six points from three games. Egypt play their
third game on Saturday at Malawi.
